From the Course Director

The Second Annual Thursday Liver Symposium: Dawn of a New Era in Precision Medicine: Genetics and Biomarkers in Liver Disease and Cirrhosis, will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in Washington, DC. Directed by Dr. Rohit Loomba, this high-impact, one-day symposium will bring together leading experts in hepatology, clinical trials, genetics, and biomarker development to explore transformative advances in the diagnosis and management of liver disease. With a robust agenda spanning genetic risk stratification, non-invasive imaging, biomarker integration into therapeutic trials, and regulatory perspectives, the symposium aims to define the current landscape, identify research priorities, and foster collaboration across academic, clinical, biotech, and regulatory communities to accelerate progress in MASH, cirrhosis, and related liver disorders.
